The ACBM’s North India region includes Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh. The population of this region includes more then 174 million people, and has one of the smallest Christian populations in India, only 0.6% compared to the Indian average of 2.3%. This region is quite undeveloped, with a predominantly agrarian economy, poor education and high birth rates, although smaller regions within it such as Delhi and Chandigarh are major economic drivers.
ACBM Activities
In 2013 the ACBM divided India into 8 regions of operation so that more resources could be focused on the northern, western and eastern regions of India which have previously been less receptive to the truth, and more difficult to preach in.
Locations
There are brethren and sisters living in Delhi, Garhmukteshvar, Meerut, Muzaffrangar and Barelli. They meet once a month on a rotation.
