The annual Taiwan Bible School was held in April 2025, in a country villa, a little north of Taipei. While the number attending was small, the atmosphere is always warm and appreciative of the relationship we share together as brothers and sisters. Bro Michael and Sis Brenda Thompson attended from Kuala Lumpur. There is growing interest in brothers and sisters across South East Asia coming together, by attending Bible Schools and Study Weekends in their region. Apart from studies on the Teaching of the Master in Matthew 5-7 led by Bro Carl Parry, the Epistle of James was also considered. This drew a large Zoom audience. Quite a number of friends, who came as day visitors, are seeking the Truth but progressing quite slowly. It is difficult to accept the Truth when those involved are so few. Many Taiwanese, as in South Korea, are seeking a church with larger membership.
Taipei Ecclesia hosts a Memorial Meeting and Bible Class each week. Exhortations and classes are given by a growing number of native Chinese Mandarin brothers, or translated from English. The speakers are from various places including Australia, China, Canada and USA. This draws together a wide group of Chinese speaking brothers and sisters, either from mainland China or living in Australia and New Zealand. Planning and maintaining this involvement takes considerable time but is carried out very faithfully. Travellers through Taipei often seek out the ecclesia and especially attend Memorial meetings. They are always warmly welcomed and every opportunity is taken to spend time together on Sunday afternoon.
