A number of fieldworkers have visited Tuvalu and found it was worth following up with further preaching. Accommodation is available and there are places that can be hired to hold seminars to preach the Gospel of salvation. We are still using Google AdWords throughout the region in conjunction with the website www.thisisyourbible.com and other media outlets across the Northern Pacific area. Results will be followed up to see if there are some who are seeking the way of salvation.
Fieldworkers who have visited Guam and Palau found that Guam, although an American territory, has quite a large population of Korean people that live and work in Guam. We are looking at ways we can make connection through the brothers and sisters in Korea. In Palau, there are many Filipinos living, working and visiting and this gives opportunity to make a connection with our very active brothers and sisters in the Philippines.
The work continues in Palau with Bro Michael and Sis Liza Manganti originally from the Philippines but working fulltime in Palau. It is not always an easy thing to invite the local people to seminars on the Bible so Michael and Liza have started a Sunday school in their home, teaching young ones whose parents want them to come to learn about the Bible. This has been a very successful way of preaching in the Philippines.
Michael and Liza pick the children up, take the children to their home for lessons and lunch, and then return them to their parent’s homes. We are hoping we can eventually discuss the Bible with the children’s parents and develop their interest further in the Bible. The photos below show the children’s interest in the activity sheets.
