India
Whether we live in India, Australia, New Zealand, or any part of God’s world, we will have worries and problems in our daily life. Those without problems are in the grave. What a joy, therefore, for our brothers and sisters in India to come together again for Bible Camps. This year celebrated 40 years since our first Bible Week in India, and for many it was the first major gathering after a 3-year COVID break. Both South and North India came away from a year of anxious toil, made more so by the continuing violent anti-Christian riots in parts of India, to enjoy beautiful surroundings, encouraging studies, and joyous fellowship. The South India Bible Week at Claret Nivas Centre in May was summed up by a young sister who said, “Wow, what an amazing week, learning and loving and leaning on the Lord, and each other”. The baptism of one of our Bangalore young people during the week was a highlight. Her beaming smile as she stepped from the baptism tank will long be remembered.
