India and Bible Truth Camps
“I am not really a speaker,” Bro PJ from Australia said, “I am not sure how I will go in India.”
“That is fine”, responded Bro Naresh. “Nothing personal, but we don't want to hear what you have to say, or think, we just want to know what the Bible says.”
“Yes”, added Sis Rani,“this is not a Bro PJ Truth Camp, or even a Christadelphian Truth Camp, but a Bible Truth Camp. Just give us 30 verses or so on each topic so our listeners can be sure what the Bible teaches.”
Bible Truth Camps, usually run over two days (sometimes condensed to one), have been a key teaching tool in India for many years; intensive sessions looking at Bible teaching on 7 key first principles. The sheer weight of Bible verses, piled one on top of the other, show clearly what the Bible says – showing that it is not Christadelphian Truth, but Bible Truth which Christadelphians believe.

So far, during 2025, we have held over 15 such events in Andhra Pradesh in south India, where the local brethren are now well able to present such sessions covering the seven basic topics – Bible Truth about God; about Man; about Jesus Christ; about God’s Promises; about Sin, Suffering and Satan; about the Kingdom of God; and about Baptism and the New Life.
Seated on mats, or chairs, in halls, shelters or in the open air, a gathering of 20 or 30 listen attentively for over 10 hours (over 2 days), with each session, with singing and discussion, running for 90 minutes. Lunch is provided and chai and biscuits during the morning and afternoon breaks.

The use of many verses not only shows that our focus is on the Bible’s authority, but also greatly assists the translator when we have visiting speakers. Having the Bible in his own language in front of him, the translator is prompted to give an accurate, Bible based translation. Indian language Bibles, such as the Telugu Bible used in Andhra Pradesh, are, in the main, excellent. Today, the presence of over 2,000 brothers and sisters in Andhra Pradesh, testifies to the effectiveness, to a significant extent, of these events.
