Taiwan
The weekly schedule of meetings that are being hosted through the small Taipei Ecclesia makes it quite a busy one. This is done in connection with other activities that are presented by Chinese brothers and sisters of the Enfield Ecclesia in Adelaide. All of these activities are designed to provide spiritual strength and guidance for those in the Chinese speaking world which is a very wide one, involving those throughout Australia, New Zealand, North America and other parts of Asia. The week starts with a Memorial Meeting on Sunday morning and then a first principles class in the evening. On Thursday evening there is a Bible Class which alternates between an English spoken and translated class and then a Chinese only class. On Saturday evenings, there is a Sunday School run from Taipei for the older students and also a younger class which is run from Adelaide. Each third Sunday in the month the Memorial Meeting is run from Adelaide which is all given in Chinese. Over time we have had many of the English hymns translated into Chinese and this now gives our speakers quite a range of hymns to choose from. There is a mid-week Memorial Meeting run at the Enfield Ecclesia for Chinese speaking brothers and sisters. During COVID restrictions, which have limited our ability to come together at times, our Chinese brothers and sisters across Australia have joined the Taipei meeting each Sunday, which has been one of the great benefits of the energy and effort being spent in this vital work of education and providing the comfort of the Scriptures. In the new year we will be continuing the work being done and we are very thankful for the support of brothers and sisters involved in all of this activity. There are initial steps being taken to run a Virtual Bible School in early April and, God willing, this will involve friends in Taipei and many other Chinese brothers and sisters throughout the world.
